Culture of Wellbeing

What is wellbeing?

Wellbeing is the integration of one’s body, mind and spirit. It is being able to personally manage the various dimensions of wellbeing to include: mental, emotional, financial, physical, purpose, relationships and career in order to live a balanced life.

Building a thriving culture of wellbeing

A comprehensive wellbeing program is available because the District cares about the health and wellbeing of employees.  The District encourages employees to participate in expanded health and wellbeing opportunities and to consider the role each of us play in supporting the health and wellbeing of our fellow employees, students and families.

By utilizing the resources at hand, employees can work at: staying healthy in body, mind and spirit; balancing work and personal life; managing and controlling the rising cost of medical benefits; and learn how to best utilize their health care benefits.

We truly believe if our employees are healthy, happy and thriving in all elements of wellbeing, that will transpire into a healthy culture in which our children too will thrive and be successful!

6 pillars of wellbeing

Wellbeing is more than merely physical health, exercise or nutrition. It is the integration of physical, career, emotional, mental, financial, purpose and relationships.  Each of these elements act and interact in a way that contributes to our own quality of life.  A thriving life is the result of experiencing balance in each of the pillars of wellbeing.  Click on the pillars below for additional information.
